Product Details
Optical Phase Conductor (OPPC) is a specialized new‑type power optical cable. It integrates optical fiber units within phase conductors, delivering dual functions of power energy transmission and optical‑fiber communication. It is primarily applied for power grids of 110 kV and below, including suburban distribution networks and rural power grids.
In medium‑ and low‑voltage power networks, especially distribution lines below 35 kV, ground wires are often not installed, which makes OPGW (Optical Fiber Composite Overhead Ground Wire) impractical for deployment. Phase conductors, by contrast, exist in every power transmission line as indispensable components.
Sharing similar technical principles with OPGW, OPPC embeds optical‑fiber units into conventional phase‑conductor structures. This design fulfills requirements for power‑system monitoring and fiber‑optic networking, offering an effective alternative where OPGW cannot be implemented.
